Sophia LaMarca, MS, LAT, ATC

Sophia LaMarca, MS, LAT, ATC, is the head athletic trainer for Dr. Paci’s team at Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group. She graduated from Georgia College with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine in 2020 and earned her Master’s degree from Stony Brook University for Athletic Training in 2022. Prior to her time at Orlin and Cohen, Sophia was a Practice Athletic Trainer for another orthopedist on Long Island. She also currently works as an Assistant Athletic Trainer to the New York Knicks Entertainment Group, specializing in care for the Knicks City Dancers and Knicks City Kids.

Sophia was raised in Milton, Georgia and moved to Long Island in 2020 when she started her Masters at Stony Brook University. In her free time, Sophia loves to read, go to Pilates, and spend time with her dogs. Sophia loves being an Athletic Trainer in the physician setting because although athletes are her specialty, she gets to work with patients of all populations, not just athletes. She also enjoys being in the operating room and seeing patients' care come full circle.
